7 1/4″ Hunslet 4W Battery Loco

7 1/4 gauge battery electric ride on locomotive. Freelance design but based on the Hunslet 4W diesel shunting engines of the narrow gauge railways. The chassis steel work has been recently renewed and strengthened. It is now a fully working loco that needs the cab and steel frames painting to complete, not much work really but that’s why it’s listed as a ‘project’ loco.

The motor is EMD (now Parvalux) which we suspect is 250watt combined with the popular and reliable 4QD controller. The engine is also fitted with a handy parking brake. Clips of the loco running can be sent on request.

A great first time loco or one for the grandchildren to play with.
