4″ Foster Project
The embryonic stages of a 4″ scale Foster Traction Engine, built to the well know Live Steam Models design. A good start has been made on this project. The front wheels are finished, with the Spokes and Strakes cut out for the rear wheels. The main tyres and rings for the rear wheels are also made. Rivets look to be there too to finish the job. The front axle is nicely made, along with the shaft made for the rear axle. The con-rod has been made along with what looks like the axle boxes squared up ready for centering. A start has been made on the steel boiler, with all the stay holes marked out on three of the plates. The doorplate has been marked out ready for cutting and the steel is there for the horn plates. The boiler barrel is there which has a seem weld along it. There is a rolled piece of stainless which look like it will eventually make the chimney. There is NO paperwork with the steel for the boiler. The rest of the castings are unmachined, which are all pictured.
A full set of Live Steam Models drawings are included.
